Water Problems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences invites students, post-graduate students and young scientists to participate in the annual School of Young Researchers “River runoff modelling and forecasting, hydrological risk management: to a new generation of methods”. The School is organised within the project “A new generation of models, methods and technologies to counteract today’s threats to water security”, supported by the Russian Science Foundation.
We held three Schools (2017, 2018, 2019). Leading scientists in the field of river runoff mathematical modelling and hydrological forecasting from Great Britain, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Russia, Taiwan, France and Switzerland delivered their lectures and practical sessions during 5 days. The video recording is available on the official YouTube channel of the project.
In 2019, the School was organised within the All-Russian Scientific Conference “Scientific problems of the recovery of Russian rivers and ways to address them”. It was held in the Institute of Applied Physics of RAS (Nizhny Novgorod). The video recording of the lectures by Russia’s leading researchers in the area of water resources is available.
In 2018, the School was held in the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow). Presentations, video lectures and photos are available.
In 2017, the School took place in Lomonosov Moscow State University (Moscow). Presentations, lectures and photos are available.
