Motovilov U.G., Gelfan A.N. Models of Runoff Formation in River Basin Hydrology, М.: Science, 2018, 328 p. ISBN: 978-5-907036-22-2
The monograph summarizes the long-term authors’ experience in developing physically based models of river runoff formation as a unified methodological, informational and technological basis for solving applied problems of terrestrial hydrology. By the example of river basins located in various physiographic conditions applications of the models to the relevant problems of river basin hydrology are considered, including evaluation of water regime changes caused by climate variability and anthropogenic pressure, water resources and flood risk management, etc., as well as to the tasks of operational hydrological forecasting.
The monograph is the first Russian edition that systematizes the perceptions about the physically based hydrological models as a basis for a new generation of methods for hydrological prediction and forecast.
